Earlier this week, I went to say good night to Boq (like I usually do, or usually try to). So I was calling his name and trying to wake him up… but he wasn’t waking up. So I lightly blew on him (he gets frazzled when you do things like that so I was trying to get his attention and try not to frazzle him) but he wasn’t waking up. He wasn’t moving. He wasn’t breathing. I started freaking out and ran upstairs to tell Martin who came down to check and Boq wasn’t breathing :(.

I couldn’t really figure out why he would suddenly just pass away. Before I left he was healthy and he was fine. Before I left, everything was fine. I didn’t know so much could change in 7 months. But I did notice when I got home he looked…  different. He was a little bit more sketchy and his fur was a totally different color. I remember Martin said something about it and asked if their coats change, Robo’s coats don’t change. At least not like how Winter Whites do… and Boq’s coat hadn’t changed last Fall either. I didn’t want to think he was sick, because he is sketchy, it’s hard to handle him :(.

My mom got me Boq almost two years ago, after Martin left for Basic Training. I remember the day she got him, I was laying in bed waiting for a phone call I was pretty sure that wasn’t going to happen and I was so sad and so lonely. Seriously, the first week of your significant other leaving for the military sucks the most! Especially if you spent years with that person everyday before that. And my mom’s knocking on my door and I didn’t really feel like opening it but I thought maybe she had a letter… so I open the door and she has this excited look on her face and she’s holding my mice carry cage but there was a tiny Robo dwarf hamster inside. My mommy got me a hamster to keep me company! It seriously made the fact that Martin was gone easier, I spent a lot of time admiring the little guy! And it was so out of character for my mom, she always gets upset when I come home with a new hamster, so for her to come home with one for me, was really sweet. And I always wanted a Robo! But I don’t think I ever told her that, so it was even more sweet :).

Boq spent a lot of time with us in our room before we moved to Florida. I don’t remember why, but he relocated downstairs. It never seemed to bother him with my cat would sit in front of his cage and watch him. Or when the birds in the room would squawk. He was a brave little furball.

I think the part that sucks the most about this is that that’s two pets gone since we’ve come back. It’s getting heavy and depressing :(.

Good night Boq. Rest in peace. We miss you already <3.

Today is my baby Boq’s first birthday! Yes! Today is his one year! We got him cupcakes. I know, cupcakes are horrible and bad for hamsters but I promise I’m not trying to poison him. We cut off the frosting and feed them a small itty bitty piece of the inside of the cupcake. I’m actually going to give him half of what we usually give our hamsters on their birthday’s because he’s a dwarf and they’re more likely to get diabetes than syrian hamsters are. We actually almost ate all of his cupcakes, whoops. But we left 3! Yay!

I can’t believe my little guy is already 1 year old. He’s never been to the vet or anything. I’m glad he’s happy and healthy! Then again all he does is eat all the time. He’s a plump little marshmallow! And he has a thing with attacking his running wheel, crazy little guy!

So we were busy today because we both are participating in NaNoWriMo this year. I’m in about 3,700-ish words and I think husband is around 2,000-ish something. It’s pretty exciting, as lame as it sounds but I’m glad I’m finally sitting down and getting some writing done. The only thing that sucks is that now that I’ve started on this story, I have a ton of other idea’s waiting for me to pay attention to.

I’m pretty excited for tomorrow, Suzanne Collins is doing a signing somewhere around my area. It’s pretty far, but exciting! I bought a Hunger Games shirt yesterday. It has the mockingjay on the front and the back says “Down With The Capitol” it’s awesome!

Okay, and last point… my husband shared his novel outline notebook with me :D aww how sweet of him!

Halloween isn’t one of my favorite holidays, but it seems to be big this year. It’s also my first Halloween being married! I know, I keep note of every little detail. Can’t help it! This year we’re not doing anything special, staying home… doing homework… like boring college students lol. It’s okay though, the only other thing we’d be doing is Trick or Treating, and even though I wanted to this year, I couldn’t afford the costume I wanted so boo! And besides, this class is seriously kicking my ass. How is a class worth 500 points?! What the helllll!

My brother got my puppy a Hot Dog costume lol, it’s wrong but cute. And my kitty doesn’t know where to go. As long as she’s not outside, I’m fine! Don’t like her being out on busy nights. Boq hates his pumpkin we got him. He’s not even curious, he’s just scared of it! Silly. Not to mention, his birthday is in 2 days!

Alright, back to homework… *sigh

Husband is watching Good Will Hunting. I’ve never seen it but every time he watches a movie, I get distracted. And he’s been watching movies all. week. long. So I’m hoping I don’t lose my train of thought… then again I don’t really have one right now, whoo!

Today was spent eating Todai (oh how it’s gone downhill), running around the mall and B&N to find things for my Spooky Swap partner. I hope she likes the things I got her, the candy part was a bit frustrating since everything I thought of was things she didn’t want. Other than that, nothing else too interesting happened.

My husband thought it would be a good idea to put Boq’s cardboard tube into his wheel last night… which caused him to hop around. I didn’t know he was scared of it! And after husband finally took it out of his wheel, he slept in his wheel the rest of the night. Poor Boq, dummy husband! We also discovered the secrets to poaching an egg last night. Just a thought… toast doesn’t substitute english muffins as good as you’d think.

Lately I’ve been incredibly addicted to Wendy’s baked potatoes. Yum.

Let’s see how far back I can remember…

So last week, we had to print out chapter’s since University of Phoenix doesn’t have hard copy text books, a lot of our “chapter reading” is online and needs to be printed out (unless you’re okay with reading it as a PDF file, I personally don’t really care). The good thing is that they allow you to print out as many pages as you need to at the campus, for free! I go to two colleges, so we had to find time between lunch and before class to run to UoP and print out our chapter reading. The campus is small, but it’s nice. And comfy.

I spotted these at Target!! They put out all the Easter candy and decor! I love Easter. It has the best candy! Hehe! These are my favorite Easter chocolates! They only come out during Easter too, which sucks! I went crazy. But husband didn’t let me buy any. He’s getting a little strict with me not eating candy lately…. hmph.

Most days consist of this, entire afternoons in Panera Bread before kickboxing class doing homework. Husband was turning in our learning team homework while I finished my lunch. Aww, isn’t he just the sweetest? And I know, could my stuff be any more girly? Pink laptop, MAC Hello Kitty carrying bag… lol.

I was craving granola! And I need to add more yogurt and fruit into my diet. I don’t eat enough. I love Panera Bread’s granola. It’s so so… so delicious!! I just hate how fast the yogurt warms up and it get’s all watery… :(.

Speaking of, I was looking for healthy snacks. I know I need to eat a little more healthier and I tend to skip breakfast a lot, so I was looking for some nuts and trail mix snack packs to snack on in my room. I’m lazy and I hate making food, plus, snacking on nuts is good for you. So I found these!

The Cocoa Roast Almonds are okay… they don’t taste much like dark chocolate (lol, I don’t know what I was expecting but it’s just funny to think about… was I expecting dark chocolate covered almonds?! Haha) but it is better than eating plain almonds. Plus they’re 100 calorie packs!

The Tropical Blend trail mix is pretty good. It comes with banana’s, mangoes and pineapples. The mangoes were making my stomach hurt after awhile, but everything else was really good. Weird, considering I’m Filipino and dried mango is one of my favorites snacks… unless they’re “dried” differently?

A few new purchases over the last month or so… oh how I miss splurging! But that’s what got me into all this debt trouble in the first place…. splurging. Makeup and books, what a combo right?! I finished To Serve My Country a few days ago and now I’m reading Loose Girl. I may do a review on here for it, or just go to my book blog here and look out for a review (I did one but I’m gonna re-do it because I wasn’t really happy with it. I’m horrible at reviewing things, but practice makes perfect right?)!

I spent the majority of the week taking care of Martin cause he was sick with the flu. He was sick for about 6 days, which is odd since he’s never sick. And if he is, at most, its for only one day. So the majority of the week when we weren’t at school was spent making and eating Chicken Noodle Soup, fleece blankets, DayQuils and lots of movies. It’s hard to take care of him since we don’t live together and he has to go home at the end of the night :(.

I was craving this one night so I made it. It’s my childhood favorite snack. It’s just bananas, brown sugar and lemon. I use to put Sprite instead of lemons when I was younger, I don’t know when I started putting lemon… but I think it taste better this way. Yum! I have really weird favorite snacks don’t I? Lettuce & Mayo, this and I make “turkey rolls”. Which is basically turkey with mayo on it and lettuce and I roll it up. Oh and cheese! I hate waiting for food to be made lol.

We got to watch Alice in Wonderland 3D on Sunday! I love how Martin is always so willing to watch movies with me that he knows I’m obsessed with. He really wanted to watch Alice cause he knows how much I love Alice (kinda like how he really wanted to watch Time Travelers Wife cause I was reading the book at the time. Or how he really wanted to watch The Lightning Thief cause he knows I love Mythology and I bought that book but lost it before I could start reading it… we still have to watch that movie too). I loved the movie! I loved how Cheshire and Hatter had much more larger parts in this movie. I love the action. I love the story line. It was amazing! I really want to see it again!

I don’t see how people don’t like this movie. The only thing I can think of is that they’re stuck on the Disney version. Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is based on the second book of the Alice series: Through The Looking Glass. And on top of that, Disney does not own Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland was written by someone else. I don’t think a lot of people know that. A lot of the Disney cartoons are actually not owned by Disney. Trust me, I was heartbroken to find this out myself a few years ago!

Meet my Robo Dwarf Hamster… Boq (yes as in, from the Wicked book/musical). Get it? Munchkin? Dwarf hamster? Haha! He’s very sketchy and he’s not use to us touching him just yet even though I got him in November when Martin was away at Basic Training. My mom surprised me with him :). I love his furry little hands!

And according to this picture, he needs his nails cut. Oh my lol.

So I found out yesterday that one of the layouts I had for my blog prevented tags from being attached to entries. Which sucks because I have a bunch of tags that aren’t attached to any entries and a bunch of entries with no tags! So far, up to August has no tags. I’m scared to see how far it goes! So now I have to go fix that… ack!

I did however manage to talk to the cake department about my wedding cake and to the chapel place to ask questions about the photographer and floral. Now I just have to pick out pictures of what I want mine to look like for both. Its just kinda lonely planning out your wedding without your fiance being able to help you, you know? It causes less arguments, but I just wish he was here to tell me what he wants too, you know?

I started a Wicked fan site last night. I spent last night thinking about what to put down for content while I was falling asleep, and I have a few things to post… but I didnt get around to it. Maybe later tonight. I’ll link it once its up and running, not that anyone reads this or anything :(

Man! I hate feeling down, its such a lousy feeling.

I was trying to decide what to name the new Robo baby. I havent taken pictures of him yet, again, maybe later tonight. I shoulda probably took some during the day but I didnt really have time. I was trying to decide between Ace or Boq (get it? Munchkin… dwarf hamster? hahaha…). But I’m not completely sure if the Robo is a boy and Ace seems like a good unisex name. Though I really wanted to pick Boq. Or Nessarose lol!

I need to start putting moisturizer on my face, its not getting cold (it still feels like summer here in CA) but my face is starting to dry up and peel. Blah, I hate when that happens!

It surprised me that she came home with a hamster cause she’d never come home with one! I wont say shes not a fan of hamsters (after a few years of me having Syrian hamsters I think they finally grew on her lol) cause she is… but coming home with one was just so out of character hehe. But it was a nice surprise, especially since I was kinda crying myself to sleep.

I dont know if I mentioned this, but my dear Labby mouse (Martin named him “Labby… the lab mouse” cause he was a plain white mouse) passed away last week, almost hitting I think two years… which is crazy for a simple white feeder mouse. And I suppose she got me a hamster to keep me some company since Martin’s away. I dont know really I didnt ask her but I was oohing and ahhing over it for some time lol.

I only have CareFresh bedding and I remember reading somewhere that it’s really bad for dwarf hamsters so I went to Petco but they dont sell the bedding I use to use for my baby boy Flixie (who passed away almost two years ago. He had a bad allergic reaction to CareFresh so I had to switch him to shredded wood bedding) and I’m not a huge fan of the wood chip type since they have sharp corners, so I may have to go to the next city over to PetSmart and see if they have any over there. I also have to get the little critter a wheel and some toys. He was climbing and jumping around the cage as soon as I put him in there.

I’m very knowledgeable when it comes to Syrian hamsters since I’ve raised them since I was 9… but when it comes to dwarf hamsters… not so much. I’ve only had one and he passed away the day after I got him (I wrote a complaint to the head of Petco and they never got back to me either. Ugh) so I’m a little iffy about having another dwarf hamster, especially from Petco. So I’ll be taking a small break tonight from wedding planning to refresh my memory on dwarf hamster care. I only remember bits and pieces and they’re not connecting very well lol.

Sorry no pictures of the little guy just yet! I was too busy trying to make his home to take pictures. But soon! And I havent decided on a name, I was thinking Ace since that was what Martin named our Air Force bear, but I dont know yet :)

I cant wait to tell him about the new little one!
