So why don’t I turn off the light?

I can’t sleep in the dark.

Even in my apartment, I would leave the closet light on. I need light, somewhere. This use to bother my husband, but he’s grown use to it. What a good sport!

So anyway, the last time I went to the doctor to get my ears flushed, they mentioned you could easily do this at home. Here’s the deal with my husband and someone saying “you can do this at home”, he’ll do it. He will watch very carefully, ask questions and then, attempt to do it at home. I seemed to have missed this considering the assistant was flushing my ear while telling him this and it was a glob of earwax that was not coming out. I was too focused on how squishy the inside of my ear sounded.

So, it’s now that time of the year again (I really should do this twice a year to prevent my right ear epic build up) where I need to flush my ears. So husband got an earwax removal kit. Oh.

Here’s the difference between this and what I’m use to. When I call the hospital to set a flushing appointment, they tell me I need to “prep” with drops. So I skip it and I just spring it on them after a check up or something and I don’t use the drops. They just go straight to the flushing. Well, with the home kit, there’s drops and for some reason, this freaks me the fuck out. I read reviews and I have a blogger friend who does this and they say you’ll here “fizzing” and “popping” which means the solution is working then you flush. I’ll hear WHAT and WHAT? Hell no.

So last night I decided to skip the drops and go straight to the flushing. It wasn’t that bad but it sure didn’t help either. Like, at all. My blogger friend even commented that I was brave for attempting such a thing and assured me (again) the drops were the easy part. So later today, we’ll attempt the drops then the flushing. But let me tell you, I’m not excited.

In other news, I finally tried these Luna bars everyone’s talking about. I was interested mostly because it has two things I look for: Iron and Fiber. So if you could wrap that in something delicious, I’m all for it. I didn’t want to buy a box of just one flavor, so thankfully I found a box of mini’s with two flavors I was looking into: Lemon Zest and White Chocolate Macadamia. Plus they’re mini’s and I have this theory… everything tastes better when it’s mini. Mini cupcakes, mini macarons, mini M&M’s, mini Pepsi bottles… maybe it’s because I’m small and I like to appreciate the smaller products? Or maybe I just like feeling like I actually finished my food. Who knows.

Out of the two, I freakin LOVE Lemon Zest the best! It totally curbs my candy cravings too. Another thing I’m pretty darn obsessed with? The Hex Hall series by Rachel Hawkins! I just finished Demonglass yesterday and I’m just a ball of “OMFGCALOMFGARCHER” right now. I’m sad that Spellbound doesn’t come out until March and that it’s the end of Sophie’s story. This series is awesome. Sophie is such a sarcastic and funny character!

And in other-other news, Itotallythoughtschoolstartedtodaybutitdidn’t. Yeah, oops. Woke up at 8am for nothing. But at least I did get my Panera Bread souffle and the day felt pretty darn long. I also got a Mochalatta Chill and got to take a nap. So I guess it was pretty worth it :) haha!

I know I’ve been lacking in the updating department, and updating with pictures but honestly, I havent been taking many pictures. Which makes me sad! I’ve been so busy with school starting, struggling to get the classes I wanted (which I didnt because they started this new rule where the teachers put priority on the students who previously took their classes, what kind of crap is that!), applying for jobs far from home and dealing with debt. Oh how I wish I could just sit on my floor and read a book and not feel like there’s something more productive I should be doing :(.

I got my ears flushed the other day, finally. Finally I can sleep on my right side without my ear plugging up, its amazing! The downside? Everything is like 5 times louder, I’m not even kidding. Running the water is extremely loud, which makes me wonder… how plugged up were my ears?! My husband was there when they flushed it (as always) but the right ear that was plugged up grossed him out when they pulled out this HUGE chunk of ear wax. The left ear didnt flush out, but she said it may come out later in the shower. She was wrong. I was in the Olive Garden parking lot about to get lunch and something tickled my ear so I scratched it and on my finger was a HUGE chunk of ear wax. Not a nice experience. So I dug out the rest, I wouldnt want to sit in Olive Garden and a glop of ear wax falls on my table. Does anyone else flush their ears? It’s a really nice feeling actually once you get passed the waves-crashing-sound.

So the month is over and my room hasnt been cleaned. Or touched. Husband says that my room’s just a lost cause and we should just clean it out when we move. Yeah, sure. Doesnt look like we’re moving any time soon. And I would like to get this room cleaned out before the summer time when all the bugs come out. I live near a hill and and there are plenty of yucky bugs that welcome themselves into our home over the summer. Not dealing with spending hours looking for a pesky spider cause I have too much crap laying around my floor!

That said, I think I’ll go grab my lunch and start getting to work!
