I’m feeling a little bit better today. My cough has gotten worse but I don’t feel fever-ish or congested. But I do feel flemmy. I debated on taking a nap, but now it’s passed 6:30PM and I don’t think it’s a reasonable time to be napping, darn. I shoulda napped sooner!

Anyway, on to Valentines Day!

My mom got me tulips the day before Valentines Day. She always manages to get me flowers, which is sweet of her since my husband doesn’t seem to believe in giving flowers for special occasions, or at all actually. And it was cool cause this year I wanted tulips!

She also gave me my Valentines Day gift a day early. I thought the card was cute because it said “to my daughter and son-in-law” I thought it was sweet she included husband too :).

She got me the P.S. I love You set from Bath & Body Works, a cute flower foofa sponge and a paper rose that wasn’t included in this picture. She also gave me a rose from her bouquet (which is dead now, darn. I can never keep flowers alive).

And just because, these have always been my favorite Valentines Day lollipops! I was so excited to find these at Party City!

So on Valentines Day, since we’re broke, we didn’t do much. We did our usual lunch at Todai thing. It was super packed this year, they had a special promo going on. So maybe that’s why. They also mixed up a few things, they didn’t have my favorite whipped cream with banana’s and chocolate syrup dessert like they usually do for lunch :(.

After Todai, we walked around the mall and I got to get a MAC lipstick from Macy’s. I got Blankety. I was planning on getting another Dazzleglass because mine is kinda funky and I wanted to get Baby Sparks but they were sold out :(. So husband told me to just get one thing and not go around trying to replace it cause it’s sold out. Grrr. We ended up going to downtown Walnut Creek to walk around cause it was just so pretty outside! It was super packed there too! OMGOSH! Finding parking was so hard. And it’s a 3 story parking garage! I got an Alice in Wonderland book with Through The Looking Glass. Excited about that! I couldn’t find Through The Looking Glass for the longest time.

Then we went home and we made dinner together! I wanted to make some Hamburger Helper because that’s what we did for our first official Valentines Day together in high school, we made Hamburger Helper for dinner!

It came out really really really good too. Yum!

Oh, husband also surprised me with a gift! I feel bad because I didn’t get him anything even though he assured me it was okay since we don’t have money and there’s nothing I could had really got him anyway…

He got me a baby orchid I wanted from Home Depot! This totally surprised me because I didn’t think he was really paying attention when I was oohing and ahhing over it. He also got me Pansy flower seeds, cause while we were there I was pointing out flowers that were like “in Alice!” haha. And he got me a really sweet card and wrote a sweet little note at the bottom about how times are hard and how he’s lucky to have me in his life.

Aw, I love my husband!

So while I let her calm down (and hopefully she calms down soon) I’ll make a quick post about Christmas.

Christmas isnt my favorite holiday (my favorite holiday’s are actually Valentines Day and New Years Eve). I love the holiday spirit, getting ready for Christmas more than the actually day OF Christmas. But lately Martin’s been making sure I enjoy Christmas every year :). This Christmas was much better than last years (last year we were so broke we literally made each other gifts)!

He brought over two gifts! He of course wouldnt tell me what they were but the one on the bottom was heavy!

I finally got him to let me open the top one. It was one of his Air Force BMT PT shirts, a Target gift card and a card he drew and wrote in. I shoulda took a picture of it but I wasnt thinking about it! Darn, I’ll post one later :)

We chilled on Facebook, playing Cafe World and watching A Christmas Story finally! At 8PM he let me open my other gift.

He has this thing where he wraps a gift, puts it in another box, wraps that box, etc etc. This was probably the longest unwrapping I’ve done. It would be wrapped over twice in completely different wrapping paper lol. By the time I got to the actual gift I was tired of unwrapping!

I dont know if I mentioned this but he was bummed out that he couldnt get one of the Limited Edition Metallic Blue DSi that came out last month for me (it has 5 pre-installed Mario games. One of them being Mario VS. Donkey Kong March of the Mini’s 2 — March of the Mini’s is one of my favorite games). So of course when I opened it, I was super surprised to find that he did get the DSi for me! I was super excited. He tricked me, again. I even checked our statement and there was no charge for any place that would sell a DSi! Grrr! He opened his gift and he was surprised to find a DSi too lol. Yes, we bought the same gift for each other lol! And it must suck for Marissa cause she came with both of us to get each other our gifts and she couldnt say anything to either of us LOL!

His family tricked me too. His mom got me the DVD Julie and Julia and both Marissa and Martin have been preventing me from buying that DVD since it came out! I’m so excited to watch it! I use to watch her cooking show when I was a kid. I went to culinary school and I’m a blogger :) they also got me Cheshire socks. They havent missed getting me at least one Cheshire thing for Christmas yet lol! My mommy got me some New Moon stuff and my dad gave me money :) I wasnt expecting much from my parents since they’ve been super helping me out with this wedding thing. That alone was a huge enough gift from the both of them!

Spent Christmas Day at my cousin’s house (as always). It was nice seeing my family, I’ve missed them! I only get to see them on Christmas anymore :( my cousin’s baby Jacob is adorable! He’s so quiet, he didnt cry the entire night! I met my other cousin’s newborn Mya, she’s so tiny! She was asleep when I finally got to see her. My nephew Evan was hanging out with Martin, Martin got him to eat and was playing cars with him like the entire night lol. It was cute. Evan has the cutest “angry” face. Martin is so good with kids, like seriously, its kind of amazing how good he is with kids. Which makes me feel bad that I dont want kids, he’d make a perfect dad. Me on the other hand, my temper is too short to deal with kids lol.

I have a picture of me feeding Evan, which was weird… cause I’m not good with feeding kids. But I totally know how my mom felt now when I’d run off after every bite lol.

Okay, I think I should go get my stuff ready for the trip now…! Haha.

Martin came up with the idea to get my dad an ipod for Father’s Day, I thought that was a pretty cool idea. So yeah, I hope he likes that too. Gonna put all his favorite bands on there and some of my favorite songs since he always talks about how he likes my songs and stuff… follow-up gifts for him too would be a speaker or something.

So I just called Disneyland to apply for Club 33, and apparently the waiting list is FULL and so is the member list. FML lol. I’ll check again in September, I suppose. The wait time is 2-3 years. Hm.
