Aches && Anxiety.

I had a pretty good day today.

We checked out the new Walgreens and it’s huuuuge. It also has the new Walgreens layout which is amazing when it came to the beauty section. Everything was so much easier to find! They had a soft opening but man, I’m impressed! I just wish they had more Wet N’ Wild products. Maybe when they have their grand opening they will. Either way, I found the Wet N’ Wild nail polishes I’ve been trying to track down for a week now. They had every color there (which was a bit hard to resist), I ended up only getting the 3 I really wanted. I’ll be back next week to see if the holiday sets will be in. Husband and I also grabbed some boxed movie candy, 3 for $3, why not. I got my Tootsie Pop drops and had him pick some out since that’s all I really wanted. Wish they made Cherryheads in the big boxes!

After that husband and I headed to get some lunch. He got Chipotle (of course) and I got Panera Bread. Then we walked over to GameStop and I reserved Mario 3D for him (to get the raccoon Mario key chain of course!) then over to B&N. I didn’t get anything. Books are so over priced everywhere else compared to Amazon. We’re in a recession! Wait, are we still in a recession? Either way…

It’s FREEZiNG!

Omgosh! It’s freezing tonight! I hope J Baby is okay! I’m so tempted to buy him a snuggie, even though he absolutely hates clothes :\

Husband is set on me watching mythology. We watched The Lightning Thief and now we’re watching Hercules.

So excited! I’m getting my game Disney Universe today! Then going Wet N’ Wild nail polish hunting!

It’s officially Fall!

According to the calender, the first day of Fall was yesterday. Even though yesterday was 90°. Today it’s 68° and a lot more comfortable! I love the crisp smell and feel of the air when it’s Fall, the color changing leaves and getting ready for Halloween! I use to hate Halloween. As in, I wouldn’t go out at all or acknowledge the fact it was Halloween. I mean, I don’t really go out now, unless it’s to Trick or Treat (hey, free candy? Why not?) but I love getting ready for it. The pumpkins, the crafts, the baking, all the fun stuff! This year I’m going to glitter some pumpkins, make some witch hats (cause I love witch hats) and maybe attempt to bake something that isn’t out of a box!

And also, the best part of prepping for Halloween? Compiling a list of spooky YA books as a challenge for the whole month of October! Then I usually host a giveaway on my book blog of a few of the books I read along with some other Halloween goodies :). This is much easier to do for Halloween than it is for Christmas lol.

Speaking of books…

I’ve been really into discovering self published books. Mostly because they’re free or under $2.

I read Amanda Hocking‘s blog post last night about her adventures in self publishing, and I’ve always been curious. I know being published with a big publisher is pretty hard to do considering they have to go through a whole lot of manuscripts. Who’s to say what you’re writing about is even “in”? It’s an industry just like anything else and there are plenty of reasons for you to receive that rejection letter that kills you a little bit each time. But of course there are other reasons to try; you won’t have to worry about making your own book covers and knowing that a publisher really likes your work!

I’m participating in NaNoWriMo again this year, and I’m hoping to win this time! But this year I’ll be writing a middle grade book instead of young adult. Mostly because I feel like with writing a young adult novel, it’s expected to have romance and lately there have been a lot of love triangles, which I kinda really hate. I could take a chance and write a young adult novel with almost no romance but I don’t know… maybe after I rough draft the outline I’ll decide then.

Also, I’m obsessed with Castle Crashers. Best game EVER!

Cold days and Serendipity!

The weather is finally starting to cool down (and believe me, I’m excited except for the fact that it’s drying out my skin)! It was actually raining today! I never knew how much I missed rain until I woke up to the sound of it.

With the holidays just around the corner, I’ve been craving Serendipity. I don’t mean the Frozen Hot Chocolate (okay I’m lying, I’d love some Frozen Hot Chocolate and waffle fries!), I mean the movie. It reminds me of cold and winter, maybe because that’s when I discovered it and I’d watch it every night a few years ago.

I’ve also been gobbling down Fruit Roll Ups and working my novel. I’m not sure how many words I’m aiming for but I’m aiming for writing at least 500 a day or something. I’m writing bits and pieces, I’ll figure out how to get it all together later.

I’m trying to blog more :)

CONVO OF THE NIGHT
Me: Does he have to say yes to everything?
CJ: Yes.
Me: That’s lame.
CJ:I just had the urge to hit you on the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

What is up with all this spam?!

I go through my comments and I find that I have 151 pending spam comments. What is up with all this spam?! I need to find a spam catcher! Ugh, it’s so frustrating to have to go through and delete all of them.

Anyway, my fourth class at UoP ended last Monday. I’m starting a new class this Monday and I haven’t even met the teacher yet. In fact, our discussion page isn’t even set up yet so she took the time to email everyone the syllabus. Why? Because we have an essay due, the first day of class. About three chapters we’re suppose to read.

Why, nice to meet you too!

Ugh. Sometimes I think college isn’t for me. But I do love this school and I am excited for my career, so I just have to shut up and suck it up.

My Amazon order isn’t coming in this week, which means I get no new books this week. Well that’s not completely true. I got 3 books this week so far for review, one of which I’m really excited to read (Siren by Tricia Rayburn). I also got an email back from Penguin Publishing finally and they approved my request for the two ARC’s I wanted. So I’m excited about that as well! Now if only I could get an email back from HarperTeen

I’ve realized that I spore up and my brain turns into mush in the summer. It’s just too freakin hot to think or do anything. I can’t wait until Fall, that’s when I wake up and start getting creative. I love cool and cold weather!

I wish I had asked my dad to get me a chocolate parfait… darn.
